Copake Veterinary Hospital has been serving the Tri-State area since 1947, initially focused on the needs of the local farming community. As Copake and the surrounding areas evolved, so did the hospital. Under the ownership of Drs. Rasweiler and Duryea, Copake Veterinary Hospital expanded its services to become a full-service animal hospital.

In 2021, the practice transitioned to focus solely on the care of small animals. Like many businesses, Copake Veterinary Hospital faced significant challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prolonged illness among key staff members unfortunately led to a contraction of services offered.

However, a new chapter began in March 2024 when the practice was purchased by Dr. Tyler Hotaling. Continuing the tradition of private, non-corporate ownership, Dr. Hotaling has expanded services with the goal of further growth in the future. As we recruit more critical staff members, we look forward to expanding our service offerings and hours to better serve the community and their beloved pets.
